Releasing bottlenecks in my life

I recognized time consuming tasks that slow me down and automated them

1

The challenge: Making my day to day more controllable and efficient

2

The Catch: I didn't find the right apps that will serve me and deliver the features I need.

3

What I did: So I built both apps myself. One to manage the family's money, one to run my day to day.

4

The result: 1000 NIS addition to family monthly savings. 3X more efficiency in day to day tasks.

Gaining control. Increasing efficiency

Expense Tracker

Household finance app

I couldn't find an app that made saving exciting and actually changed behavior around money. So I built one. The savings and the calm come from the same place.

Design decisions What went into building this app

Core Feature A: Day-to-day tracking

  1. Day-to-Day tab — set a budget, log as you go, get flagged before you overspend.
  2. Set Budget — define targets per category; the app projects the full year.
  3. Fixed expenses are pre-loaded every month. What's left after rent and bills is what you actually control.
  4. Add Transaction — log in seconds by text or voice. AI suggests the category and flags overruns.
  5. FINI (AI) answers spending questions in plain language, no dashboard required.
  6. Category bar chart — healthy, close, or over. Full picture, no math.

Core Feature B: Full picture analysis

  1. Full Picture tab — import bank statements to see habits over time, not just transactions.
  2. Tap a month card to import. The app reads, parses, and categorizes automatically.
  3. You only confirm where the AI is unsure.
  4. Month view merges bank imports with manually logged cash — the bank missed half of it.
  5. Five lenses on the same data. Pick the one that answers your question.
  6. "Where is your money?" — one tap breaks down every savings and investment account.
Psychological mechanisms Why this changes behavior

Internal motivation

The budget is an agreement, not just a number. When you and your partner decide together what to spend per category this month, that number carries a weight a solo decision rarely does. The Day-to-Day view keeps that agreement visible, and notifications remind you of it along the way. The underlying principle is Mental AccountingThe human tendency to separate money into distinct mental categories rather than treating it as a single pool..

External motivation

You can set a reward before the month begins: "If I save more than $25,000, I earn a vacation." The prize is decided before the temptation arrives. At month end, uploading your bank statement means facing the honest version of the month. You never know exactly what you'll find — and that unpredictabilityVariable rewards are more compelling than fixed ones. Not knowing what you'll find each month is exactly what keeps you coming back. is what drives you to check.

Sunday

Personal task manager

Monday was expensive for what I actually needed, and I couldn't find a tool that let me capture tasks anywhere, manage them simply, and sync them to my calendar. So I built one. It helped me stop holding tasks in my head, feel confident to let go, and switch off when the day ends.

Design decisions What went into building this app

Task board

  1. Fathom integration — Sunday syncs with your saved Fathom meeting recordings and pulls every action item out automatically. A full meeting becomes a task board with no note-taking.
  2. Add task — a couple of taps on desktop, or a voice recording on mobile. Capture a task the moment it occurs to you, even when your hands are full. The AI assigns it to the right group automatically.
  3. Project file links — tasks connected to a project file carry a memory of what happened inside it. That link bridges the task board and the real project, and is what lets Sunday go beyond just tracking checkboxes.
  4. Google Calendar sync — toggle "Remind me in Google Calendar" on any task and the deadline becomes a reminder that finds you. Your calendar stays in sync with Sunday, so nothing slips even when you're not looking at the board.
  5. Time estimates are built from your own history — a personal baseline, not a generic guess. Every cell is editable so you can adjust to the reality of each task.
  6. Activity report reads from the connected project files and gives you the real status of each task — not just whether it was checked off, but what actually happened inside it.
